As part of our commitment to the environment and to supporting both the community and wildlife groups our woodchips are currently recycled allotments,farms and London Wildlife Trust Centres. We also send on some of our stock to further recycling centres that process this to produce compost.

 

 

Woodchips are frequently the by product of the pruning or felling work completed on trees. Woodchips are considered a sustainable sourced material that can offer a wide variety of uses. When used as a mulch at least three inches thick, they can conserve soil moisture,moderate soil temperature and suppress weed growth. This can aid the growth of food plants as well as work as a defining feature to garden borders, footpaths and alike. 

Woodchips is also widely welcomed by many childcare groups or playgrounds as a safe product for outdoor childrens play areas that can cushion falls from smaller children and if selected appropriately should be non toxic and safe for children of all ages.
